About Us

We are an all-volunteer, non-profit organization.

The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity able to accept tax deductible donations for ACBL Unit 503 programs and facilities. It is also the Fiscal Sponsor for Silicon Valley Youth Bridge (SiVY). The Foundation board meets regularly to review priorities and approve expenses. The Foundation is a separate organization but it serves Unit purposes and holds the same values. All players are welcome to attend Board meetings. Meeting notices are posted in advance and minutes of meetings are quickly posted here for all to see.

Our Mission

To promote the mental, social and health benefits of learning and playing bridge to people of all ages and skill levels in the areas represented by and adjacent to ACBL Unit 503.

The Peninsula Bridge Education Foundation promotes all knowledge, skill, strategy, and ethical aspects of the game through classes, seminars with world class educators, tutorials, a lending library, learning stations and resources, and use of technology. The foundation works to provide the continued availability of venues and clubs for learning and playing the game, such as newcomer games (clubs) and a BridgeCenter. The foundation may provide scholarships, stipends, or prizes for participation in courses and competitions.

We seek opportunities to cooperate and coordinate with similar efforts by other bridge and education organizations in neighboring areas.

Location

We are located at the southern end of the San Francisco Bay Area with convenient access from Highway 101, Highway 85 North and surface streets. We are in the Bridge Center building on the IFES Society property. Look for the large parking lot with the IFES SOCIETY sign at the street.
